The first laboratory in Bihar to be accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), and the only laboratory with the accreditation till the year 2013, Dr. Anjana Central Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. was established as Central Diagnostics in 1991 by Dr. Anjana Singh with the aim to revolutionize laboratory practices in the state.

Her vision and mission not just made the diagnostic centre the first NABL accredited centre in Bihar but it also became the first laboratory to use a fully automated random access chemistry analyzer system in 1991, and the first to utilize the power of information technology in its full capacity, working in a networked environment with the interfacing of equipment since the year 1998. For 12 years, the centre was the only diagnostic lab in Bihar with an NABL accreditation.
